Glogster

Glogster can be used in a variety of ways, particularly for ELA. To start, for junior high and high school levels it would be a good way to begin a research paper or essay. The Pin Boards allows students to organize their thoughts with pictures, texts, and images. It would also be great to use for presentations. Instead of writing a paper, they could create a glogster on the topic. The variety of templates allows for limitless possibilities for use. Another idea is using it to create poems and songs. The lyrics template would be great for this idea. Below is the t-chart I created to show the pedagogical affordances of glogster.

-text	-students can add text to their glogs—this can be used in a variety of ways such as notes, posters for presentations, and even studying
-images	-students can easily add images to their glogs to enhance the information.
-video	-students can also easily add video to their glogs. This is great when creating a presentation or reviewing a lesson.
-save and share	-students can save their blogs and go back to them at any time. They can also share their glogs with their classmates or teachers. This is good for group projects and presentations.
-community	-This allows students to view others’ blogs. Students can post and follow classmates’ blogs.
-messages	-students can send messages to each other regarding their glogs. Teachers can also send messages to the students to give them feedback on their glogs.
